This is a series of 10 easy caches leading to a Mystery Bonus.
It is mainly easy walking, with a moderate gradient for a short while, plus one or two boggy bits and a beck which, when in spate, may be difficult to cross.
Park on the grass verge by the road junction/bridge, with great care. Do NOT drive up the No Through Road - it is narrow and has no parking room at all.
Four of the Traditional caches hold the numbers you need to find
the Bonus which is at:
N54° A.B W02° C.D
(04/09/2012 - I have put the numbers in all the caches now, but you still need only A,B.C and D)
At the Bonus cache, duck down behind the wall out of sight of the farm and be sure to replace all material as you found it.
The reservoir in this valley was built to supply water to the Leeds/Liverpool Canal. It is piped, I believe, to the pumping house to the South of Bank Newton (where there are more caches!).
The history of the area can be found at:
history
