Little Oyster Bay
Just up the street from Our Vacation spot you
will locate one of several Public boat ramps to access the waters
surrounding Chincoteague.
Little Oyster Bay is protected from the West by
the Island mainland and to the East Assateague Island. A calm water
area but still influenced by tidal waters.
Excellent for Kayakers, depending on the time of
your search can see many come and go from the waters.
Also a great spot for crabbing, we spend a good
deal of our time throwing out our chicken necks and retrieving the
delicious Blue Crab
Parking is provided but please park near the ramp
and away from the NO Parking signs. They are placed to allow
Boaters enough room to turn their vehicles around and back to the
ramp.
The Bison Tube cache you seek is well hidden from
Muggles but with a keen eye and some Geosense this should be fairly
easy for the experienced and a bit harder for the novice. Please
replace as found or better
Coordinates were averaged with a +/- 9’ so
they should be right on target.
Stealth will depend on day and time of your hunt,
If Muggles are crabbing or fishing they will most likely hinder
your successful hunt.
