Geocache Description:

Andre Hut by The Zees - can only be reached by Otter Trail trailists on day 4. Difficulty level: 1 for placement and 4.5 for terrain getting there. Once at Andre hut difficulty level for terrain drops to 1.

The Andre hut over-night camp is reached at the end of day 4 of the Otter Trail. This is the longest day of the trail, with 10km having to be covered before the notorious Bloukrans River crossing and another 3.8km thereafter. The camp is situated in a place of unparalleled natural beauty right on the beach with sweeping sea and mountain views. Just the tonic one needs after a taxing day. You may even be fortunate enough, as we were, to stretch tired limbs on the porch of the rest-hut while watching dolphins at play in the surf. The difficulty with this cache is the four days it takes to hike to Andre Hut, once there almost no effort is required.
