SWOG’s 1st Anniversary
Event
St George’s
Society
4308 Dundas Street, East
London
Sunday, November 7, 2010
11:00am to 4:00pm
November 2009 was when the first SWOG event was
held and when we announced the group publicly. A year later we
would like to celebrate our anniversary with you, the cachers that
helped make our first year a success!
Starting at 11:00am SWOG has a fun filled
day ready for you!
The day will include:
- lots of games,
- activities to keep the little ones occupied,
- time to chat and get to know each other or to catch up with
friends,
- opportunity to do trackable drops/retrievals or
discoveries,
- and the opportunity to discuss that difficult cache or your
favourite, ask questions, discussion of caches and technique and
just enjoying the company of
others.
At approximately 12:30pm,
we will enjoy a potluck lunch! Please bring a food dish to share
(SWOG will provide the plates, napkins, coffee, cups and cutlery).
Include in your “will attend”, or closer to the event
day in a “write note”, what food dish you will be
bringing.
This year we will have geocaching
businesses "setting up shop" at the event. If you are interested in
shopping for geocaching products, Cacher's Toy Box,
Caching Treasures and Up North Tracks will be there!
SWOG swag will also be available for you to order.
Happy Shopping!
Everyone and anyone are welcome to
attend! From far or near! New and experienced! Young and young at
heart! Families, individuals, couples!
The cost is free!
If you are new to geocaching, this is an excellent way to meet
other cachers and learn from those that are more
experienced.
Please RSVP by posting a
“will attend” on this page with the number of
adults/children attending so that we know how many to plan
for!
Don’t forget to bring your GPS and your geo-bag! There will
be activities at the event for which you will need them!
If you have any questions, please feel free to email and ask:
SWOG or SWOG
