A small plastic lockbox cache near a playground and some trails. Have fun!
This is a fairly easy cache located near Katie’s playground (inside Royal Lake Park). Katie’s playground was built in memory of a little girl in the community and was funded by donations by neighbors and friends. A great place to let the kids run around a little and then take a hike around the lake.
The cache is on the other side of the parking lot from the playground just off the main trail that circles the lake.
Thank you to the Fairfax County Parks Authority for granting permission to hide the cache. Please respect the park and remember all Fairfax County Park Authority parks are open from Dawn to Dusk. Night Caching in Park Authority parks is expressly forbidden.
The cache is a small plastic lockbox with a log, pen and small toys. Travel bugs should fit inside without too much squeezing. Be careful of muggles as there are lots of dog walkers and kids playing around the area. Please be sure to hide the cache well so it is not muggled. And of course, enjoy the park.
