Mongo: This geocache looks like it might need some attention. The recent logs may contain more details about what maintenance needs to be performed. This could be anything from a new logbook to replacing a missing container.
This note contains everything you need to know about geocache maintenance. If a cache is disabled for six (6) months the cache should be archived. Since more than one reviewer conducts maintenance for Missouri use the Log geocache feature on the cache page.
- Write a note: If you cannot provide maintenance post a note detailing your maintenance plan. This will give you generally up to four weeks to complete maintenance on the geocache. Ownership after publication.
- Maintenance: Visit your geocache, make any needed repairs, and post an “Owner Maintenance log so the community knows it’s available to find. By posting an Owner maintenance log it will automatically remove the "Owner attention requested" icon.
- Was the geocache disabled by you or a reviewer? Then you will need to enable it after you have completed the maintenance. How to enable your geocache
- Archive: If you decide it is time for your geocache to be permanently retired, please archive the listing and retrieve all physical stages. If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived. How to archive my geocache
