Geocache Description:

The cache is a medium waterproof box located about 25 feet off trail in St. Albans City Park.

This cache was placed with permission of St. Albans Parks and Recreation. The park has many facilities including hiking trails, a swimming pool, an amphitheater and a dog park. It is home to the Festival of Lights which takes place annually from November 30 through December 27.

The cache container is located just a little off one of the hiking trails through the park. There should not be any bushwhacking, but you may have to climb a little once you make it to the cache site.

St. Albans City Park is closed at dark, and some of the trails are closed for seasonal events. Please pay heed to any posted signs.

Parking is available near the trailhead waypoint. There is a trailhead on either side of the parking area. They connect and you can make a circular route through the park. I recommend the right hand trail.

There is a lot of signal bounce in the area of the cache. One measurement had the arrow spin around and point in front of me as I walked away. The posted coordinates point to the right place coming from either direction on the trail, but go crazy as you get within 20 feet of the cache site. GPSr units will vary, the hint will provide some guidance once you are in the area.

The cache contains a logbook, writing implement and swag. There is room for trackables.
