Jeremy Scott Hollobaugh
February 3, 1984 - January 12, 2010
Jeremy was born in Kittanning and lived in Ford City. He was employed as a technician at Optical Systems Technology in Slate Lick. Jeremy was a member of Cadogan Union Church and the Cadogan Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed hunting and trout fishing, and loved helping people in any way he could. Jeremy also enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, his cats, and his turtle, Bam.
During the few years that I knew him, I couldn't have asked for a better friend and coworker. Known around the office as "Hollywood," he loved to make people laugh and smile. He cared about everybody and always offered to help out. He also livened up the hacky sack circle that would form during break times. We had a lot of good times and all of the fun definitely made the work day go faster. He is missed by all and will never be forgotten.
Shortly before he passed away, Jeremy and I discussed geocaching. His friend had found one and told him about it, piquing his interest. He asked me about it and I explained to him the basics. He wanted to borrow my GPS sometime and try it out. I was going to take him out and show him a few when spring came and the weather was nicer. Sadly, that day never came and I lost a friend too soon.
I placed this cache in memory of Jeremy and filled it with hacky sacks. You can trade hacks or leave other items. If you knew Jeremy, feel free to share a memory.
