Geocache Description:

Message in a Bottle

Completed in 1923 by the Kansas Highway Commission as Federal Aid Project No. 118 this Rainbow Arch Bridge spans the Cottonwood River just below the Soden's Mill Dam. The bridge was built on piers dating to the 1890's and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Closed to vehicle traffic this has become a busy fishing spot and a local favorite to watch the river after a big rain. Along this stretch of the river there was at one time a grist mill, The Emporia Furniture Company and even a working river paddle boat. At the posted coordinates you are looking for a message in a bottle. In the bottle you will find 4 words directing you to the final location.
