Geocache Description:

GeoCrush is a series of art caches at Puget Sound cultural institutions. These aren't ordinary cache containers. They're displays where you can interact with the caches in an artistic way.

NOTE: Due to popular request, we've decided to extend this cache for another week!

This art cache is available from October 5 to October 10. It is located at the Proctor Art Gallery, at 3811 N. 26th St. in Tacoma. Cache hours are Monday through Saturday 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday 11 am to 5 pm.

About this Cache:
What does it take to create edible art? You may find out at the Proctor. From October 6 to 9, the gallery will host the Proctor Chocolate Fest. The cache allows you to use a medium familiar to many decorators. If you choose, take a picture of your creation and post it in the log.

If you're lucky, you could win tickets to "Meet the Biscottis" at Events on the Edge, or to a performance by the Federal Way Chorale. Just fill out an entry slip and drop it into the cache!

About the Proctor Art Gallery:
The Proctor Art Gallery features work by local artists. The gallery offers work in watercolor, oil, acrylic, jewelry, mixed media, pottery, glass, metal, wood, and more. In this unique concept, artists are given opportunities to be involved in many aspects of running the gallery, which is owned by Carolyn Burt and Chuck Gourley. Each artist works at the gallery twice a month.

About GeoCrush:
GeoCrush is an event that takes place all over ArtsCrush 2010. There are 20 art caches at cultural institutions around the Sound. When you find a cache, sign the logbook and fill out an entry form. When the cache is archived at the end of its run, we will draw winners at random from all the entries. You can win event tickets, art memorabilia, and other prizes from our host institutions. Check the cache listings to see the complete list of prizes. This event was created by Groundspeak, Theatre Puget Sound, and Lone Shark Games.
