This is a cache in a series of 12 to show to the community the hard work of our Scouts who have earned the rank of Eagle. . # 3 A Scout is Helpful.
This Garden being developed by the Salvation Army is called "produce for people" and is for people to have an opportunity to grow fresh vegetables and to have a part in helping themselves in these depression era times... The project that was built here by the Eagle Scout and his troop is the information kiosk that is located just inside the south gates. Please take a second to look at the project while you are at the cache location.. . .This Eagle project was built by Mvhawks (yes he stopped caching long enough to lead this project) . .Do not enter the garden to find this hide. . Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout requires years of dedication and hard work. In addition to 21 required merit badges, each Scout must complete an extensive service project that he plans, organizes, leads, and manages. On average, each Scout conducts 167 service hours as part of that project. In 2008 alone, that translated to $16 million* in service to communities across America.
