WHERE Atsion ranger station, at posted cords

time 11:00am to 3:00pm, be there early for registration


South Jersey Geocaching would like to extend an invitation to the caching community to participate in our 4th annual scavenger hunt to be held on 11/13/10. Past hunts have proven to be a fun day for all. there are plenty of caches located in the area that can be found while you area out scavenging. 4/wheel drive is not necessary, but may be an advantage. the hunt will start at 11:00am and end at 3:00pm. you will need to arrive a little earlier to get registered. location for the event is at the Atsion ranger station, (39 44.572 74 43.546. you can participate as an individual or as a team. Teams are limited to one vehicle. there will be prizes for 1st 2nd, and 3rd place finishes. places to be determined by the most complete list, with earliest check in time as the tie breaker. Also there will be a drawing for other prizes. A light rain will not cancel the event, but a HEAVY rain will postpone it till the next day (sunday). The list of items for the hunt are things that can be found in, or around the Wharton forrest. Water will be provided, and there will be coffee, and doughnuts available at the check in. Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can have enough supplies on hand. some of the items on the hunt list will involve using your GPS, so be sure to bring it.
