Located in a historic Mason County cemetery.
The Towns family was the first family to homestead in Amber Township, located in the heart of Mason County. The one acre cemetery and the 39 acres that surround it were part of the Towns property.
In the early 1930s the property was purchased by W.G. Alway, my great-grandfather. The property remains in our family to this day.
Please only enter the cemetery during the day and respect its boundaries. Wear bright orange during Michigan deer hunting season. The cache is located in a small plastic container and is not near any gravestones.
The cemetery is also known as the North Amber Cemetery.
