A walk with 10 caches around Haldon Forest Park. These caches can be done as a circular walk---if you are a good map reader or have local knowledge, or they can be done as individual caches. The Bonus box will require you to find information from various parts of the Forest on your way round and has £5 for FTF to spend in “The Ridge” on a bacon sarnie when you’ve finished- if you so desire!
There are now numerous activities available in the Forest including “Go Ape”, Cycle Trails ,Walks, Childrens Play Area, Café…….Cycle Hire and Segway hire available!
Large car park (£3 per day!)
All caches are small Clip'n Lock containers, big enough for small items and T.B's and can be easily accessed from a track.
There are numerous trails around the Forest-maps are available on line and in the Forest. The circular walk may take 3 hours plus!Going cross-country may get very muddy and would certainly raise the terrain rating but there are linking tracks so this should not be necessary.
This cache is not at the above co-ordinates.
You will obtain these from information collected en route.
