You can park at the beginning of the new IAT section, at N44 04.985, W089 28.940. Of course you could also park on the West side of the section at N44 05.055 W089 30.146
This is a public hunting grounds so dress appropriately in season.

This used to be a pretty arduous trek. The old road which passes through the property had a lot of downed trees and branches across it. Then you had to bushwhack down the hill to the step overlook or even worse, all the way down to the pond. That was the easy part because you had to climb back up to the road to get out. Well all that has changed. The Ice Age Trail is being extended and will take you right down to the pond. The cache is an ammo. can with a log and some trinkets. Getting to it will take light bushwhacking. The brush doesn't grow well down here due to the heavy tree canopy. GPS receivers don't do well here either for the same reason.

Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
