Geocache Description:

[EN] Dinogetia is located on the right bank of the Danube, dating from the early fourth century AD. Built on the site of a Geto-Dacian settlement and early Roman fortress, it was rebuilt during Emperor Diocletian, after the Roman withdrawal from Dacia. The fortress was intended to strengthen the empire borders on the line of the Lower Danube, against attacks from barbarian invaders. Inside the fortress several buildings were erected, including the praetorium, the domus of an aristocrat, a basilica and Roman baths, all dating from the fourth century. The fortress was abandoned in the late sixth century - the beginning of the seventh century, was retaken by the Byzantines in the late tenth century and permanently abandoned two centuries later.

Parking is available on the side of the national road, from where a dirt road starts, also accessible for cars with high ground clearance. The fortress can be visited during the day, although visiting hours aren't posted. There's a lake close to the fortress, and various domestic and wild fowl can be seen, including swans. You are looking for a 0.5 liter lock'n'lock type container.
