Llyn Helyg is a man-made (18th century) lake which is approximately one kilometre in length and is home to the rare aquatic fern Pillwort and Australian swamp stonecrop.
During the Second World War Llyn Helyg was used for amphibious vehicle
training and a slipway was constructed at the north-eastern edge of the lake. The lake is shallow, maximum depth about 1.6 metres, and is man-made having been created by the Mostyn Estate sometime in the 1700s. The lake is now used by Holywell Angling Club who own the fishing rights. Llyn Helyg is surrounded by woodland.

To find this cache, park near the Tab cache (see coordinates) enter the woods via the footpath and walk about 464' to a Mostyn Estates' public footpath sign, (see waypoint) then turn right.
Walk along until you see a bungalow through the trees on your right. The cache is on your left, set back approx 10' from the path. If you carry on this footpath you will come to
The Princess and the Frog cache.
Do blow or suck the plastic tube in the cache and the little wild piggies will come running to you
