Winchester Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

TheVogonPoet: Hello tracama

This cache has been in need of maintenance for an extended period of time. Due to the lack of response toward the needed maintenance since my last contact, I am archiving the cache to keep it from showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Thanks!

Geocache Description:

Charles Emerson Winchester III was the final new regular character added to the show. I live within walking distance of Winchester St., so I thought I should have a Winchester cache.

Radar and Father Mulcahy arranged for Charles to receive a Xmas present of his old tobaggoning cap sent by his mother to make Charles feel more at home around camp. Winchester's inept French horn playing led Hawkeye and BJ to go on a "bath strike". In real life David Ogden Stiers has been a conductor.

Charles once had lunch with Audrey Hepburn although he had never seen any of her movies. He was "married" while drunk in Tokyo. Charles couldn't remember it, but it was a sham anyways. The camp held an anti-marriage for Charles and his "bride".
He once used a dummy grenade to clear out the Officer's Club so he, Hawkeye, BJ and Soo Lee could get a table.

In the final episode Charles leaves camp in a garbage truck. He says to BJ and Hawkeye, "I want to thank you both. You've made me realize what going home is all about."
