10-10-10 Here Be Dragons! Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

katcogo: AFter a lot of thought I decided to archive this series. it was set up as an activity for a 10-10-10 event on Oct 10, 2010 that besides celebrating 10-10-10 and 10 years of Geocaching it was an attempt to break a previous record for finds logged in a day (it did). It has had a great run.

I love this park and had fun setting up the multi to show people all the cool dragon spots. There have been more added since then. I have had to relocate the cache 3 or 4 times as well as several other replacements. I went there today and found the cache that TeamHandM found but it was frozen in place where they stashed it. I tried to a good 20 min to dislodge it and scrape around to try to free it. I will have to return in warmer weather to remove it. While searching I found another cache that I believe was subsequent to that one and is the one the most recent finders signed. I am sure someone will be able to use this spot to bring folks back to this great park.

“Lets look for dragons,” I said to Pooh
“Yes, lets,” said Pooh to Me.
We crossed the river and found a few.
“Yes, those are dragons all right,” said Pooh
“As soon as I saw their beaks I knew. That’s what they are,” said Pooh.

From Now We Are Six by A.A. Milne

The City of Burnaby is known for the wonderful Eco Sculptures found in many spots in the city.
They were one of the highlights of the 2009 World Police and Fire Games when they graced each venue within Burnaby.
Many of these sculptures feature fish or eagles or both.
The most whimsical is a sculpture that has recently appeared at Cameron Park, beside Cameron Rec Center.
The cache is in a very public spot, please exercise stealth in the retrieval and replacement of the cache.
**NOTE: There are no clues to collect at the waypoints**

Happy Hunting!
