Eye on Iris Traditional Geocache

Cache location is the Iris Garden, part of the Henry Schmieder Arboretum of Delaware Valley College.  This microcache is in plain sight so please stay on the garden paths and be respectful of the vegetation growing there.  No bushwhacking required.  Bring your own pencil.

Visitors are welcome at the Arboretum every day but should register at the security office located next to the visitors parking. The cache location is close to the Doylestown Community Hike and Bike system so it is also accessible by bike.

The iris garden owes its existence to volunteer effort and the support provided by Delaware Valley College and the Delaware Valley Iris Society.  This award-winning garden was recently renovated to feature circular paths arranged in a Zen like labyrinth surrounding a magnificent hundred year old Japanese cut leaf maple.  It is home to more than 1,000 cultivars of all types of iris.  The best time to enjoy the garden is from mid-April to mid-June when the flowers are in bloom.  But you can enjoy finding "Eye on Iris" any time during the year.
