Fountain St. Caprais Yvoy-le-Marron once called Yvoy-le-Galeux.
According to the ledger there are two Holy Saints Caprais.
One, Apostle of Agen, was considered the first bishop of this diocese. He took refuge in a cave to escape the persecution of Maximian but shameful to the brave martyr of the small Holy Faith of 12, he presented himself to the prosecutor Dacian, confessed his faith and was beheaded around 290.
The second, St. Caprais Lerins, spiritual director of Saint Honore, the latter assisted in the founding of the monastery of Lerins to 390, he died in 430. The saint of Lerins is invoked against rheumatism.
Which of the two saints cared Yvoy scabies? and earned him a long time to call it Yvoy-le-Galeux.
Louis de la Saussaye wrote in his diary in 1830: "Traces of the cult of water to the ancient times still remain in the veneration which was for the fountain of St. Caprais which rises near the village and whose waters are is a sure remedy is said against scabies, plunging into it and drawing it to drink normally. ... .... The current pastor did not believe in the virtues of the source and do not recommend using it defends itself, I am told, to the horror of the locals. The belief that Saint Caprais can cure scabies should keep some circumstance that I do not know of his legend and we know almost nothing about the boss who Yvoy supposed to have been abbot of Lerins towards the beginning of the fifth century.
