Geocache Description:

The Monkeys are up to their Shenanigans again. They found a message in a bottle and instead of reading the message and perhaps saving a lone survivor on a deserted island, they hid the message in a bottle among the pilings off Titlow Beach. Find the message in a bottle and earn a smiley at the same time.

Cache Location

Yep, here's a photo of the cache location with the Narrows bridge in the background.

Don't be fooled by the calm water in this photo. The water here is constantly moving! Make sure to wear a life-vest and leave all your electronics in the car!
FOLLOW ALL SMALL CRAFT SAFETY RULES!!!

5 Terrain is based on the fact you need a small watercraft of some kind such as a kayak or canoe—larger craft will not fit near the pilings—and you go at high tide.

This is a High Tide Cache—You will not be able to properly replace the log at any other time!

Be warned you'll be up against some barnacles under the gallows.

High Tide Only Please!

You are looking for a monkey in a bottle . . . or is that a message in a bottle? Maybe its a monkey with a message in a bottle.

Did I mention this should be done ONLY at high tide?

The Cache Placement date is correct. This cache was placed with a kayak but before publication, the kayak was no longer available so I had no way to maintain it. I now have access to a kayak and went and checked on the cache nineteen months later and all is well.

The message the monkey holds can not be read so well and the monkey himself can not be seen so well but the log is there to be signed.

You must provide a lot of care to insure the log is back in the plastic bag and then the plastic bag wrapped around the log and then the whole thing rolled up to fit back into the container, which is the exact size for the log. Not placing things back correctly will make the log go out with the tide. PLEASE don't allow this to happen!

If the log is too wet to sign, log it online...but you have to find the log to know it's wet :-)
