Shin Yokohama station opens in 1964 when a station of Tokaido
Shinkansen superexpress. Around there had been spreading
agricultural fields until then. Because Shinaknsen runs much
northern than center part of Yokohama, Shin (new) Yokohama station
was built at the crossing point of Shinkansen and existing JR
Yokohama line.
After that, many business company (mainly high-tech developers)
moved around Shin Yokohama. After that, big concert hall, football
stadium a nd many amusement facilities are built, and the town is
getting active and active. New building of Shin Yokohama is built
up in 2010, however the east and south side still remains green and
fields. Enjoy walking around there.
The final cache is rather large. Better bringing vinyl bag. Be
careful to cars.
Note:
This cache is heavily inspired by GC17X7K "Taiwan High Speed Rail
Taichung Station" in Taichung, Taiwan (the final container,
multi-cache style comes from this). Around the Taiwan HSR Wuli
(Taichung) station is just like Shin Yokohama 30 years ago, and I
hope Wuli also progresses in future.

このキャッシュは新横浜駅近辺に隠された、2段マルチキャッシュです。
イニシャルキャッシュは、ファイナルキャッシュの座標のみが収められたナノコンテナです。
新横浜駅は1964年に、東海道新幹線の開業に合わせてオープンしました。
それまで、周囲は農地が広がる地帯でした。
東海道新幹線は横浜の中心部よりかなり北の方を通過するため、
既存の横浜線と交差する地点に新横浜駅が建設されたわけです。
その後、多数のビジネスビル
(多くはハイテク系の技術会社)
が付近に移転し、
また大きなコンサートホール、サッカー場、その他の娯楽施設が建てられ、
にぎやかになっていきました。新横浜の駅ビルは2010年に新築されましたが、
東南地域にはいまだにのんびりとした農業地帯が残っています。
付近を歩いてみてください。
ファイナルはやや大きいので、スーパー袋などを持参するのが良いかもしれません。車に気をつけてください。
