Il Monte Fasolo (m 301) è caratterizzato da un rilievo piuttosto dolce, con linee morbide tipiche di un terreno sedimentario. Osservando i vari affioramenti che si incontrano lungo il sentiero, si può avere un quadro quasi completo delle diverse rocce che costituiscono la successione sedimentaria: alla base del colle affiora il Biancone e lungo il sentiero la Scaglia Rossa e le Marne Euganee, presenti anche tufi basaltici.

Il tratto di sentiero nel lato ad est del colle attraversa un'ampia zone con boschi di roverella, carpino nero, orniello e qualche cespuglio di scotano con un sottobosco ricco di pungitopo, asparago selvatico e biancospino. Proseguendo verso nord, è rilevante la presenza di castagno, carpino, orniello, qualche ginepro e ciavardello. Da segnalare esemplari di peonia nel sottobosco e alcune ceppaie di faggio specie normalmente diffusa e quote più alte e in ambiente montano. Caratteristico dei terreni calcarei e ombreggiati è l'alchechengi che nel versante nord crea dei veri e propri tappeti. Nel lato a sud, usciti dal bosco, si incontra un bel nucleo di cerri, un'altra rarità arborea. Pregevole è il viale di mandorli che in primavera offre una splendida fioritura bianca.

Monte Fasolo (301 m) has gentle morphology and soft outlines typical of sedimentary soils. Jura limestone outcrops at the base of the hill, while the summit and the flanks are composed of "scaglia rossa" and marls. Aslo basalic tuff may be found in the rock.

The eastern flank of the hill crosses wood of pubescent oak, hornbeam, flowering ash, with underground composed of butcher's broom, wild asparagus and hawthorn. Typical of shaded limestone reliefs is the strawberry groundcherry, on the northern flank of the hill it carpets the ground. On the southern slope there is a group of turkey oaks, a rare variety. Particularly beautiful is the avenue of almond trees which are an explosion of splendid white blossoms in the spring.
