Geocache Description:

Spend Some Time Exploring History

One of the oldest churches in North Carolina. The churchyard dates from 1722, when Edenton became the capital of North Carolina. Because of a lack of stone along the coast, tombstones were rare and costly. Markers of brick or wood gradually weathered away. The churchyard looks un-crowded to day because many of the 700 known graves many are not marked. For complete history of the church, go to (visit link)

After you find the cache, stroll along the main street of the prettiest small town in North Carolina. You will feel like you have gone back in time.

Enjoy and Happy Hunting!
