MCW #2 - Weir-d Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: As this cache has been in need of attention for some time, with no update from the CO, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

A small cache suitable for trading small items and travel bugs/geocoins.

This cache is number two in our MCW series placed along the Milnsbridge Riverside Walk.

The walk can be done in around 45 minutes and includes a short section of the Huddersfield narrow canal between Golcar and Milnsbridge. We hope the series will provide a fun way to explore Milnsbridge and discover its industrial past.

Near this cache you'll see 'Tools of the Day', four stone sculptures based on shuttles and bobbins used in the textile industry - once an important part of local life.

Please replace the cache carefully after finding it and cover it well.

From this cache the circular walk goes up the steps to Britannia Road, turn left on Britannia road and follow road past Lindsays Furniture Mill and take the next left down toward Holme Mills Industrial Estate and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

The first cache in Berticusdan's excellent HNC series is between and cache number 3 in our series, so be sure to grab it if you haven't already!

Well done to Penfolio on the FTF.
