Our first time hiding a cache! This cache is located in a wooded area across from Lawton Park in Magnolia. It is a quiet neighborhood (when school's out, at least), so please be respectful of the neighbors. The cache container is located just off the main trail... it is possible to slip when it has been raining out if you don't have proper traction. Please cover up your trail as you leave.
Fern Gully was one of my favorite movies growing up. Basically, it's a cartoon about a little fairy chick trying to get the humans to realize that a musical pollution monster is going to destroy everything and that they need to save the forest instead of cutting it down. The forest area (kind of a gully...) that the cache is in is a small area of trees that can be a nice little walk. We know it as a shortcut to my grandma's house.
My father and I started caching together in 2001 and now I'm caching with my little baby. I'm glad the three of us had the chance to place this together and I hope many other people get to do the same thing. The cache is named after my son (Gpop's grandbaby) and the movie.
As many have discovered, if you're around the cache close to Halloween, be sure to check out the H.U.G.E. pumpkins up the street.

Note: Lots of tree cover. Coordinates were recorded using Garmin "waypoint averaging" several times over a 3 day period. If your GPS is giving you fits, think old school.
Also, be sure to check out the Birds and Frogs (GC2JQXK) multi located near by! It is a Chirp! cache but those without the capability can still find it an alternate way.
