Located within Devilsden Woods on the eastern side of Farthing downs.
Approaching the cache is easier from Chaldon Way and a little more difficult from the top of Farthing Downs due to the slopes.
** IMPORTANT ** This cache has been located located within Devilsden Wood with the kind permission of Croydon Council's Nature Conservation & Countryside Manager. Whilst the site is classified as a SSSI it is free to roam, with some exceptions. Please try to keep close to the pathways and keep out of any fenced off areas as these have been recently coppiced and the fencing is to keep grazing deer away from new saplings.
The cache is not located within a currently fenced off area so there's no excuses for caching jumping the fences.
The cache is a small 450ml Clicpak about 5-6m from the footpath.
The cache contains a logbook/pencil and a few goodies and there's room to leave and swap treats and trackables.
Fathing Downs Devilsden Wood and Happy Valley is great spot for a walk. It can get busy when the weather is good so watch out for the Muggles.

Space is a unique resource managed for the use and enjoyment of the public and for the conservation of wildlife and historic landscape.
Flint axes found here tell us Stone Age people once hunted on the Downs. Clues on the ground tell us that Iron Age farmers cultivated the Downs in a network of small
rectangular fields. You can still see the low banks that on Farthing Downs that divided the fields, especially in winter when the grass is short. In fact the speed humps on the road are part of these 2000 year old boundaries!
