10/10/10; Sunday, October 10, 2010: Mathematics 101010 (base two (binary)) equals 42 (base ten). 101010 is the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything. Oddly enough, this is evenly divisible by the number of days in a week (7 (lucky)); and equally oddly, is also evenly divisible by the number 6 (which is generally designated as being unlucky). Both a Ying and Yang situation seem to be incorporated into this date. 10 (base ten) = 1010 (base two) (base ten): 10 x 10 = 100 (base two): 10 x 10 = 100 The binary attributes of 101010 lends itself to use by the sciences of fractals (recursive geometric shapes) and chaos theory (the butterfly effect). What better date to set a cache devoted to the number 10? The co-ordinates are for a bench where you can sit and work out the final co-ords without being too conspicuous. N 50° 52.0AB W 001° 11.CDE AB = the number of wooden slats on the bench + 10 CDE = last 3 digits of westings of bench + the number of wooden slats on the bench + 1 5th April 2013 - As it doesn't look like the bench is being replaced, here's a new sum: On this side of the road, there are a number of new lamp posts along the side of the field (between the 2 telegraph poles) AB = the number of lamp posts + 11 CDE = last 3 digits of westings of missing bench + the number of lamp posts + 2
