It's ok to stray from the trail a little, but remember that you don't need to disturb any plants. Please remember that the gardens close at dark.
These large boulders are part of the upland garden. This area is still under improvement but should be done by the fall of 2011. The upland gardens will highlight the geology of the area and demonstrate the problems creating a garden on bedrock. The upper pool has a gentle waterfall that cascades to a picturesque pond below. There are two small bridges here that were created by one on the nations best outdoor sculputrers.
