My First Flight   9/14/2010

This cache is to commemorate my very first hot air balloon flight courtesy of ZROZRO7, and is hidden in the tree line just north of where we landed.

It was an amazing experience to say the least. I have bungee jumped, parasailed, skydived, cliff jumped, you name it, and none of them were quite like ballooning. It was a completely new sensation and exhilarating experience. We launched from Up, Up and Away ... in College Hill Park at 8 o'clock in the morning. The flight took 1 hour, 1 minute, and traveled 11 miles with a max altitude of 3,377 ft and max speed of 18 mph (view flight map). I have included some pictures from the flight and the following first flight ceremony (see Balloonist Prayer). Special thanks to the pilot & crew for the safe flight.
