This cache is located at the S.C. Center for the Treatment of Genetic Disorders, in the Greenwood Professional Park. My son worked here and introduced me to the director( Dr. Mike F.). I inquired as to whether I could place a geocache. He thought that was a great idea, so here it is.
I rated the terrain a "1.5", but there is a moderate bank to descend from the parking area. Enter just into the woods. It really is not very difficult. You are searching for an 8-ounce ointment jar, about 3.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide. It contains a log but no pen. It does have room for geocoins or small trackables. Coords should be pretty much right on, but it is in tree cover and in a low-lying area, so you may want to use the hint, which is a Big spoiler. The Heritage trail in Greenwood is very nearby, if you wish to walk it. You CAN do the cache if you are walking the trail, but you must leave the trail near the Genetic Center and cross the parking lot. Happy Caching! FTF HONORS GO TO...junebugdawn!!!
