Geocache Description:

This is the First in a series around The 'Once' Flying Scud. Released to coincide with the first aniversay of The Surrey Mid-week Meets.

The Scud is to close its doors on Monday 7 September.

Although it was never a personal favourite of mine,it is sad to see the passing of a long-established community pub, which despite some shortcomings always appeared to try hard to hold on to its local custom.

No word yet as to whether it might be taken over with a view to re-opening as a pub or if it will become a residential property.
