Tom.dog: This is one of many of my Kansas geocaches that I have decided to decommission. This is a bittersweet move; I hold the memories of hiding all of these caches over past summers near-and-dear, but I also cannot deny that I am unable to provide the time and energy required to keep these in tip-top shape for years to come. My visits to this area are shorter and more sporadic than they once were and tend to be more focused on spending time with family closer to the house instead of geocaching. It’s probably no secret that these caches have suffered from neglect as a result.
I wish to extend my sincere thanks to anyone who has replaced the containers or logs over the years to keep things going - your help has not gone unnoticed! Thanks as well to all of those who made the journey to these various caches - I hope that they were as fun to find as they were to hide.
I have removed containers wherever I could find them. It was difficult to tell at some locations if a cache was missing or if it had just been replaced in a different spot than the original. I have done what I can to make sure that no clutter is left behind.
