A classic geo hide in a secluded little area in the heart of a very busy area.
WARNING.LAND MINE HAZARD - LAND MINE HAZARD - LAND MINE HAZARD ...... NOW THAT SPRING 2011 IS HERE AND PEOPLE ARE FINDING CACHES AGAIN I AM GETTING LOTS OF REPORTS OF RUDE---- IGNORANT ---- IRRESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS NOT CLEANING UP AFTER THEIR DOGS..... WATCH YOUR STEP.
The Cache container is a medium sized lock n lock box. While you could rough it and bushwhack in from the parking area I recomend using the stairs, then do a small amount of light bushwhacking from the clearing. The swag it contains is the last of my cassette music tapes all of which are in great condition. I know some people still listen to vinyl so I figure maybe there are still people with cassette players in their cars or homes that may like to grab or swap tapes. I, like most, have gone the Ipod / cd route so these rock and and one George Carlin tapes are of no use to me.
The cache is hidden in the woods that surround a dog walking area off of Iyannough Rd. (Rte 132) in Hyannis.
Fair warning, look out for doggie "land mines" not all pet owners are responsable I hit one while hiding the cache.
Feel free to help yourself to any tapes that interest you. Once the tapes are all gone hopefully the cache will remain for many to find.
Please bring a sharpie or pen as the log sheet is made of M.T. Pool's trademark waterproof vinyl and pencil will not write on it.
