Geocache Description:

The cache is Not at the posted coordinates.

I have been thinking of hiding a large cache for quite some time. I have also toyed with the idea of a five star terrain. Lately I have been considering a five star puzzle. I decided to combine all of them for your caching adventure but could not quite get to a 5/5. Here is a 4.5 / 4.5 .

The hike to ground zero is about a three. The cache itself is a five gallon pail and will be almost a five star to retrieve. You will need a special ability or tool to reach it. If you do not use a tool, DO NOT go alone. Good luck and have fun.

I worked at the nearby SnoBasin ski area many years ago. They put in a snow making system that used a primer pump in a lagoon and a very powerful pump in the pump house to push water up the hill. The main pump used a huge electric motor. The line at the road could not run it, so we rented a generator in a trailer. The procedure was to run the primer pump till they got to 100 psi, then hit the main pump to 500 psi and open the bypass to hold it and adjust as needed as the guns were put on line. On the first night of snow making, I got a call that it would not pump. When I arrived they showed me what was happening. The primer pump worked fine, but when they hit the main switch the huge motor would jump violently and the pressure would go down while the whole pump house vibrated. I told them to swap two wires and went back home. What kind of motor was it?

To get the coordinates for the cache, decipher the code in the attached picture, then use the answer to the motor question as the key to the second cipher.

The logs are indicating that some are going for it alone. This is not a good idea. I took company along for the hide. It only takes one little mistake and you will wish you had help. Please use the "tool" I left nearby if you are alone. If you are not strong enough to use the tool, please take company. This is rated 4.5 for a reason.

Congrats to Capt.Bob for a speedy find. I must say that I am surprised this puzzle was solved so soon. Good luck to those still working on it.

Capt.Bob proved that the cache can be found with just the first picture puzzle. For those who want more info, there is now a second picture.
