4/13/12 - I’m moving to southern Virginia next week so I’m archiving this cache to open up the area for a local cacher. Thanks to everyone who visited this cache!
This theme cache only has room for small travel bugs/coins, the logbook and a deck of cards - almost.
The deck contains only 51 cards. When you find this cache, please replace the missing card with one from a deck with a different back design, and take a different card (from the original deck). That way there are always 51 cards in the deck. Don't worry about bridge or poker sized cards, any type is fine.
Please NO SWAG. Just Trackables and the Deck of Cards.
Because the point in finding this cache is to swap cards around, PLEASE follow the "rules". A copy of these rules is also in the cache.
1. Bring an old deck with you to the cache.
As you will not know what card to leave until you get to the cache, you need to bring a full deck. Being that you will be left with a "broken" deck (i.e.. missing one card) use an old or cheap deck.
2. Find the missing card.
In the log book next to the last persons name should list the card that is currently missing. Make sure that card is not in MY deck. This is to make sure the last finder did everything right. If the last card listed is not the missing card, you will have to go thru the entire deck to figure out which one is missing. There should only be one card missing at a time. And there should be NO duplicate cards.
3. Replace the missing card.
Find the card that is missing from MY deck in YOUR deck. Sign that card (from YOUR deck) and place it in MY deck.
4. Remove a different card from MY deck.
Take any other card that isn't signed from MY deck. Write the name of this card next to your name in the log book. Take this card with you.
5. Log online.
In your online log PLEASE list the card you replaced (i.e.. the one you signed), but must NOT contain the one you took - part of the fun is not knowing what card you need to replace. Online logs not following these rules will be deleted (i.e.. logs without card swaps will be deleted).
Example: If the log says the Queen of Hearts is missing, check MY deck to make sure there isn't a Queen of Hearts in it. Take the Queen of Hearts from YOUR deck, sign it and place in MY deck. Take another card from MY deck (say the Ace of Spades) and write that card next to your name in the log book. Somewhere in you online log mention you left the Queen of Hearts, do NOT mention the Ace of Spades.
This cache is NOT accessible from I95!!
The best access is from King Ave. or go through the parking lot from the Rossville Boulevard entrance. There is plenty of parking (parking waypoint) and then a short walk over the foot bridge and up the path. The cache is just off the trail no bushwhacking required. The cache has a 3 star difficulty only because you must plan ahead and bring a deck of cards with you. Should be a very easy find.
When most of the cards are gone from my deck I will replace it with a new one and post pictures of the cards other cachers left.
There is an unactivated Travel Bug for FTF!!
Congratulations to "wizardofmd69" FTF!!!
Thanks to “The Jester” who’s Seattle, WA cache I stole the idea from

Cards that were traded with Deck 1

1/27/12 - I replaced the first deck with a nice fresh deck.
