Geocache Description:

THIS IS A NIGHT CACHE.

There is a legend in Africa that speculates that elder elephants, knowing that their death is imminent, leave their herds and travel to a place known only to them. It is called the Elephant Graveyard. It is believed this graveyard is the final destination for literally thousands of elephants and that their bones and tusks litter the area. This graveyard has never been discovered and has been the subject of speculation for many years.

What most people don't know is that thousands of years ago, elephants used to roam North America in huge herds. The ancient graveyard of these North American elephants has just recently been discovered and awaits you, if you dare.

THIS IS A NIGHT CACHE. The coordinates take you to the trail head and a fork in a trail. Take the right trail and follow the glowing markers to the cache...errr, graveyard area. The left fork is private property. The city of Raleigh owns the land on the right. Please stay on city property.

Follow the orange trail markers. There might be one or several markers together to follow. If your GPS is able, leave virtual breadcrumbs to help on the way out. If you do get lost, just head due south to find the main trail (bring a compass).
