Park in the Pilot Rock rec. area and use your pass--there are millions of annoying gnats here. Wear good sunglasses and a hat--that keeps them at bay.
There are alot of animals--esp. reptiles here--long slender Alligator Lizards and snakes. Click on gallery to see the Great Basin Gopher Snake we found.it was wheezing and pretending to gyrate; very dramatic show!!. Check bushes and grasses for rattlers, please!
