The Enchanted Mountains GeoTrail (EMGT) is ending after four great years! To allow those who may have already started the trail but have not yet completed it, we will accept submissions for your wooden nickels and the EMGT coin until October 31, 2013. Since several of the caches have been archived due to maintenance issues, etc., to obtain your coin, you will only need to submit keywords for the currently active caches. Active caches will include the caches listed as active on www.geocaching.com at time of submittal. We would like to thank all the cachers who volunteered to place and maintain the caches for us and we hope all the cachers enjoyed see our GREAT county. The geocache hidden at the posted coordinates is a
regular geocache that is part of the Enchanted Mountains GeoTrail
(EMGT). This trail is a project of Cattaraugus County Department of
Economic Development, Planning and Tourism, and the Enchanted
Mountains of Cattaraugus County. It has been developed to encourage
visiting cachers and residents to explore the hidden parts of
Cattaraugus County as they travel the highways and byways of the
Enchanted Mountains. On the inside cover of each cache is a KEYWORD
that you will need to record in your EMGT Leaflet. You can obtain
your Town wooden nickel by mailing your EMGT Leaflet to the
department listed on it or by visiting the website at
http://enchantedmountains.com/geotrail/.
This cache has been put out to replace EMGT-Conewango-Cattaraugus Swamp, which was muggled multiple times. Here's hoping this one has a long, healthy life!
This should be a very quick find in a very old cemetery. The cache is hidden nowhere near any of the stones, so please do not disturb any of them. And please respect all rules of the cemetery, which includes no night caching!
