Congratulations to the TH&G caching family for reaching this great milestone. They are a fun caching family to meet with and friends of the Tronaminers. This cache is dedicated to then.
NEWSFLASH.......Alien Artifacts found in the Green River Area. It may have started in 2004 when NASA announced the meteor showers that the planet Jupiter were having. Responding to this, in July 5, 2004, Mayor George Eckman and the city council of Green River , Wyoming announced that "resolution R94-23 passed to allowing any citizen of Jupiter to take sanctuary in their town." The resolution passed five votes to two and the Greater Green River Intergalactic Spaceport was born.
As the resolution reads: All residents of the City of Green River should be encouraged to observe this momentous event and prepare themselves to make welcome any refugees who might cast themselves upon our mercy."
Mr and Mrs Tronaminer, while looking for Area 51 Cache and other caches around the spaceport, found an interesting artifact. They could tell it was not of this world by the emblems on the lid of the artifact. When opening it, poof, a little smoke and a paper remained in the artifact. It said, " If you find this cache empty, then you are an earth muggle and have discovered this interplanetary geo-cache. We have been doing this for a long time. We have enjoyed your game of geocaching and decided, if one of our caches were discovered by earth muggles, then they in turn can use this emptied cache for their game. Lots of luck and happy hunting." Thus the TH&G 9000 cache was born. Have fun and hope you enjoy the hunt.
There are several ways to get to the cache location. You can park on the side of the spaceport or you can drive around the outside perimenter , outside the fenceline. Starting to the north and going around it clockwise. Go until you find a road going due EAST, your GPSr will point the way. The cache is about 4 tenths of a mile from the windsock at the spaceport. The cache is less that 100 feet from the 2 track road.
If you drive to the cache site. Might as well continue eastward and discover some other caches 2-3 miles east on that dirt road. Happy hunting. The Tronaminers.
