Forestry Commission parking area with space for several cars N50 41.212 W002 12.079 This is fairly typical of the many Forestry Commission plantations in the county, with one exception: the shouts of the 50+ chimpanzees at nearby Monkey World can be clearly heard and it is possible to pretend that you are in Africa.
There is plenty of wildlife to see in this wood. We saw a woodpecker and a bird of prey in a short time, so, it would be worth keeping your eyes & ears open when doing the walk. This is a circular walk of approx 2.5 miles. It is all on the main path except to stage 2. After which retrace your steps back to path. At each of the stages answer the questions and this will give you the co-ords for the final cache.
