Jørgen er astrofysiker på Institut for Fysik og Astronomi, som ligger tæt ved cachens placering. Hans primære forskningsinteresse er Solen og andre stjerners indre struktur. Han er en af pioneerne indenfor helio- og asteroseismologi, hvor svingninger på Solen og andre stjerners overflade kan benyttes til at bestemme fysiske forhold i deres indre.

English: This cache was placed to celebrate Professor Jørgen Christensen-Dalsgaard's 60th birthday on 6th October 2010. Jørgen is an astrophysicist at the University of Aarhus in Denmark. He is one of the pioneers of the development of techniques for determining the inner structure of the Sun and other stars by observing oscillations on their surfaces. These research areas are known as helio- and asteroseismology.
