This cache has been disabled for three weeks because workers were preparing the bridge for construction and I didn't want to lose the cache when they rip out the guardrail. This has happened last year also and I re-enabled the cache when it appeared they were not going to work on it after all. The bridge is in such bad shape that I hope this time is not a false alarm. I've been asked to make a decision about this cache, so I will archive it.

Geocache Description:

Park as close to coordinates as you can (across the road is private property- Camp Mataponi).

This is very popular fishing spot. It is sadly in need of CITO, if you have a bag and a minute.

My boys and I spent many nights fishing here when they were younger. This spot has lovely sunsets. It is also a great place to kayak with children. You'll see pickerel swim right under you and herons glide right over you. The kids love the little island and giant rock, too.

The cache itself is breakable (my son chose it), but no worries if you crack it! It only cost a buck and I'll repair/ replace it if need be.
