Geocache Description:

[RO] Cutia nu este la coordonatele publicate. Cititi listingul pentru detalii.
In zona exista serpi, fiti prudenti in timpul cautarii.

Locuita inca din neolitic, zona a fost ulterior ocupata de geti, iar in secolul III i.Ch. celtii au ajuns aici si au intemeiat orasul Noviodunum - "noua asezare fortificata". Asezarea a fost ocupata de romani in anul 46 d. Ch, acestia construind aici o fortareata. Sub dominatia romana orasul a devenit un important centru comercial si militar, fiind principala baza a flotei de pe Dunare Classis Flavia Moesica si sediul temporar al unor legiuni. Fortareata a ramas sub controlul romanilor, mai apoi al bizantinilor, pana in anul 602 cand a fost pierduta in fata avarilor.
Cercetarile arheologice au inceput in anul 1955, pana in prezent fiind explorata doar o mica parte a cetatii.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Read the listing for details.
Snakes are present in the area. Be careful when searching.

[EN] Inhabited since Neolithic times, the area was later occupied by Getae and during the third century BC the Celts came here and founded the city Noviodunum - "new fortified settlement". The settlement was occupied by the Romans in 46 AD, they built a fortress here. Under the domination of the Romans it became an important commercial and military city. It was the main base of the lower Danube Roman fleet named Classis Flavia Moesica and the temporary headquarters of several legions. The fortress remained under Roman, then the Byzantine control, until 602 when it was lost to the Avars.
Archaeological research began in 1955, until now only a small part of the fortress was explored.

In order to find the cache, you must visit three points around the archaeological site where microcaches are hidden, containing partial coordinates for the final. The coordinates of these micros are:
N 45° 16.303 E 028° 29.310
N 45° 16.252 E 028° 29.476
N 45° 16.168 E 028° 29.553
Finding any two of these is sufficient to determine the final coordinates. You are searching for a 0.5 liter lock'n'lock type container.
