Rutschung am Haunsberg / The landslide on the
Haunsberg
Der Haunsberg besteht aus
Sandsteinen, Tonsteinen und Mergeln der Flyschzone, die im
Alpenvorland an die Nördlichen Kalkalpen anschließt. Der Begriff
Flysch bzw. "flyschen" entstammt der Schweizerischen Sprache und
bedeutet so viel wie fließen. Das heisst, dass Flyschhänge wie am
Haunsberg, aber auch am Buchberg, der Großen Plaike, etc. im
Allgemeinen rutschungsanfällig sind und Massenbewegungen
begünstigen.
Der Hausnberg weist große Massenbewegungen auf. Südlich des
Gipfels (835 m) liegen drei Rutschäste, deren untere Rutschmasse
mit ca. 1,25 km Breite bis auf 400 m an die Austufe der Salzach
heranreicht. Die Rutschung ist schon lange Zeit aktiv. Bereits vor
ca. 100 Jahren wurden Brennholzstöße beim heutigen Scheiterloch
"vom Erdboden verschluckt". Im Jahr 1974 führten Hangbewegungen,
welche die Schienen der Lokalbahnstecke 8 cm hoben und 20-30 cm
verschoben, zur Entgleisung eines Güterzuges.
In den 1990er Jahren wurde die Rutschung wieder so aktiv, dass
die Bundesstraße, Lokalbahn und Energieversorgungsleitungen
zwischen Salzburg und dem nördlichen Flachgau stark gefährdet
waren. Bohrungen ergaben, dass die Basis der Rutschmasse
schluffiger Feinsand bildet der bei Wassersättigung eine ideale
Gleitfläche bildet. Während man zu Beginn das Wasser mit Schläuchen
ableitete, konnte erst die darauffolgende Anlage von vielen Bunnen
die Rutschung stoppen.
Um diesen Earthcache zu loggen, sind folgende Aufgaben zu
"bewältigen":
1) Nenne die Namen der 3 Rutschäste am Haunsberg ?
2) Wie viele Meter pro Woche bewegten sich die Hangteile
talwärts ?
3) Die Rutschung konnte durch wie viele Brunnen gestoppt
werden ?
4) Was befindet sich Rechts von der Infotafel in unmittelbarer Nahe
?
5) Mache ein Foto von Dir oder Deinem GPS beim
Infoschild der Rutschung (Optional kein Muss !)

The Haunsberg consists of
sandstones, shales and marl of flysch zone, which follows in the
foothills of the Northern Limestone Alps. The term flysch or flysch
"is part of the Swiss language and means so much as flow. This
means that as the Flyschhänge Haunsberg, but also by Buchberg, the
Great Plaik, etc. are generally rutschungsanfällig and mass
movements favor.
The mountain has great mass movements. South of the summit (835 m)
