Another cache in Chatelherault country park. Cache is a small box
(0.3l Lock n lock) near the river Avon. Paths are quite good but
involve ascents and descents of 100m.
Path can be muddy, eroded and close to edge of River Avon. So
please be careful.
Not suitable for smaller children or daft dogs.
The Duke's Bridge (1863) sits high above the River Avon and leads
to the remains of Cadzow Castle. Hamilton was once known as Cadzow,
until it was renamed in 1455 in honour of James Hamilton, the 1st
Lord Hamilton. There are paths all the way to the cache, don't try
any direct routes! Expect to walk about 3.5km. The original
contents of this cache include: toy glider kit, flower stamp, red
remberance poppy, self adhesive jewels and Thunder McBoab TB.
