Steven Roberts 2007 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

RKOwen: With the replacement of the bench, this one no longer makes sense. The title was from the brass plate on the end of the bench ... a Boy Scout eagle project by Steven Roberts in 2007. I suppose the bench had a good run of 12 years. I hear the new bench is nicer with a back.
You can look forward to a new cache in the location pretty quickly once this is archived.

Geocache Description:

Nothing to do with the Dread Pirate Roberts. An easy cache to find in the Almaden Quicksilver county park along the Hacienda Trail where the Virl O. Norton trail branches off.

The Hacienda Trail is about 2.6 miles and goes from the Hacienda entrance to the Mockingbird Hill entrance. It's a hiking and equestrian trail only. Sorry, no bikes on most of the entire length, but you can get to this cache by bike via the Norton trail or the Mine Hill trail and the short section of the Hacienda trail that allows bikes.

Just north is a grassy knoll where you get a great view of the Valley below.

If you understand the title, you know where to look. Please rehide the cache as best you can on the uphill side so it's not readily visible from those hiking up the trail.
Bring your own writing utensil.
