Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series set around the picturesque village of Chipping, in the heart of the Ribble Valley, on the edge of the Trough of Bowland.A walk approximately 2 hours. This cache is a film cannister. Pencil needed.

This cache has been placed near the local Village Hall. The development of which, has been considerable over the years, renovation began in late 1990s, it now holds- gym facilities, park facilities, IT equipment, meeting and function rooms; the most recent development being an all weather sports pitch in 2006. Nearby is also Chipping Congregational Church, built in 1838 for use as an independent non-conformist place of worship. Route options here for the series: Chipping - Best Kept Village cache - head into the very centre of Chipping, following Garstang Road and Club Lane. Narrow and busy roads, please take care. Chipping - Broad Meadow cache - walk past the police station and turn right. Chipping - Trough cache - Turn right just before the Congregational Church. It is signposted as Private Road AND public footpath. Follow this down as far as you can, through the driveway (still signposted public footpath), take a left through the little wooden gate.
