Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series set around the picturesque village of Chipping, in the heart of the Ribble Valley, on the edge of the Trough of Bowland. A walk approximately 2 hours. This cache is a film cannister. Pencil needed. Please re hide well.

Chipping really thrived during the Industrial Revolution when there were seven mills located along Chipping Brook. Today the only survivor is the former chair making factory of HJ Berry but as of 2010 the company is in administration, the factory is closed and the administrators are considering using the site for a different industry. The factory can be located just down the hill from this cache, walking to Chipping - North Footbridge - will take you through the buildings. Narrow, bendy and well used roads along here, please walk carefully. This cache could be done as a drive by, as there is a lay by close by!
